Once you create your DashThis account, you can connect it to your Google Analytics profile along with any other platforms you want to include, then choose a marketing report template to begin. What is organic traffic in Google Analytics Organic traffic refers to visitors who arrive at your website through unpaid search results on Google. It does not include visits from paid campaigns like Google Ads, traffic from social media platforms such as Facebook or Twitter, or users coming via links on other websites. In essence, Google Organic traffic measures the people who discover your site by typing a search query into Google and clicking on a non-paid listing.
Organic traffic represents the users who reach your website naturally via search engines such as Google, Bing, or Yahoo—without the use of paid advertising. It occurs when people search for something online, see your site among the search results, and choose to visit it.
For instance, if a person searches for “top running shoes for beginners” and your blog appears in the search results, bringing them to your site, that’s considered organic traffic. In contrast to paid traffic, which ceases once ad campaigns end, organic traffic continues to flow as long as your content maintains a good ranking.
Google Analytics sign in requires you to first enter your email address — make sure it’s the same Google account you used to set up your Analytics profile. Next, type in your password carefully; we all know how easy it is to mistype them! If you use a password manager, it can fill in your password automatically for convenience. For accounts with 2-step verification enabled (which is strongly recommended for better security), you’ll need to complete an extra step. This could involve entering a code sent to your phone, using an authenticator app, or following another verification method you’ve previously configured.
